Prizes for the Poetry Competition for Schoolchildren “Poets of '27”. 2025-26
Alborán School participated in and attended the awards ceremony for the Poetry Competition for schoolchildren "Poets of '27", which took place in the auditorium of the collection of the Russian Museum of St. Petersburg, in Malaga, and which this year reaches its 30th edition.
This competition, which has a large number of participants from educational centers in Malaga and its province, is organized by the Culture Department of the Malaga City Council, through the Municipal Library Network, with the aim of valuing the work of
promotion of reading and writing carried out by teachers with their students.
The jury members, made up of writers Antonio Gómez Yebra, Carmen Ramos, Inés María Guzmán and Emilia García, highlighted once again the enthusiasm with which schools in Málaga and the province promote poetic creation and, together with Aurora Romero, were in charge of handing out the prizes and the books with all the winning poems.
The award ceremony, presented by broadcaster and journalist Antonio Ismael, was attended by the mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, along with the councilor for culture, Mariana Pineda, and included the presentation of the book "Words that are songs," published to commemorate this anniversary.
In addition, all attendees enjoyed live literature, with characters from Alice in Wonderland stepping out of Lewis Carroll's book. Two students from our school won prizes.
In the First Cycle of ESO modality:
Mara Suárez García, Third Prize, with her poem “The Silenced Voice”.
In the Second Cycle of ESO modality:
Maia López Cano, for her work 'Carpe diem'.
