Our school carries out a method of reading and writing in English for children in Early Childhood Education, whose implementation continues naturally in the first cycle of primary school, as part of the bilingual project that uses sounds in a multi-sensory, fun way. and certainly engaging in reading and writing using letter sounds.
The Phonics method is a program designed to teach children to read and write. Children learn the 42 letter sounds of the English language, more than the alphabet. They then go through the stages of blending and segmenting words to develop reading and writing skills.
The method reflects the different rates at which children learn to read and write, teaches reading sounds and techniques, and rapidly improves literacy skills.
