Soccer Stars Championship. 2016-17.
Last Saturday our team participated in the 2017 Soccer Stars Championship at the Municipal Stadium of Marbella, playing a total of three games in the group stage:
– Colegio Alborán 3-0 Colegio Laude (Goals: Jorge, Roberto and Maximilian)
– Marbella Paraíso «A» 0-0 Colegio Alborán.
– Colegio Alborán 1-1 Ecos (Goal by Héctor)
In the last group match against Ecos, the only thing we could do was win to get a pass to the semifinals. With a 1-0 lead and having missed a penalty that would have increased the gap on the scoreboard, the team was practically in the semifinals, but a penalty goal against during injury time prevented us from continuing in the tournament. It was a difficult ending for these boys to assimilate that will undoubtedly make them mature and grow.
In any case, the most important thing about the day was the good atmosphere of fellowship and the enthusiasm with which all our children enjoyed this day.
With this championship the season ends. Gone is a year full of work, enthusiasm, efforts and goals!
