Lecture by Mr. Rafael Robles Gutiérrez, Rafatal. 2017-18

Don Rafael Robles Gutiérrez, Rafatal, Film director, television producer and scriptwriter, visited our school on Friday May 18 to offer the students of Artistic Baccalaureate and Image and Sound a Conference entitled "Audiovisual Communication. The art of telling stories.”

During said conference on the Seventh Art, he aroused great interest in the attending students and encouraged young people to be critical citizens and "to draw their own conclusions, always questioning reality to arrive at the truth."

He reviewed the elements of the communication paradigm and described the ways of articulating and building stories, whether fictional or not, emphasizing the fascinating power of the word and the communicative act, something that involved the students.

Likewise, he devoted a section to explaining and answering questions about employment options in the audiovisual field, while highlighting the importance of teamwork today.

Rafatal, who is also a columnist for the written press and an audiovisual teacher, shared his cinematographic and radio experiences with all the attendees in a very interesting meeting that combined creation, distribution channels, piracy, advertising, promotion, communication strategies... A walk through the Universal Arts, “which are all tools to tell stories and convey emotions”.
