ESIC Conference: Enjoy your presentations. 2022-23

On Tuesday, February 7, a second workshop was held at our center under the title "Enjoy your presentations" within the cycle "How to speak in public", aimed at 4th ESO students and promoted by the Department of Economics.
Once again, we have had a great communicator, Mr. Alejandro Sandino, communication consultant and coach, as well as ESIC professor.

In his entertaining talk, he emphasized the importance of transmitting ideas well, offering keys to the success of good communication in various situations: when we meet someone, when we organize teamwork, when we make a presentation or even to develop a video for social networks
In a relaxed atmosphere, the teacher has exposed the importance of the power of words, since there are many situations in which it is useful to know how to speak in public.

Through practical examples, he has managed to teach students to correct the most common mistakes (which he called "deadly sins") that students usually make in presentations, such as panicking, going blank, learning the contents of memory, monologues, carrying out boring and/or disorderly presentations or being late for the delivery of work, among others.
Likewise, he has spent some time carrying out an interesting practical experiment, in which we came to the conclusion that "words, if they are precise, generate images in those who listen to us and these images generate emotions." Likewise, we were able to verify that we should not have prejudices when dealing with any subject.

In short, he has transmitted to all attendees that the important thing is to train curiosity and FALL IN LOVE with the topic that is going to be discussed, get involved, find the fun, the interesting, the transcendent of a topic to get both emotional and emotional to the public.

Thank you, Alejandro, for having moved us.
