International day for the elimination of violence against women. 2018-19
To commemorate the International Day against gender violence, which was yesterday, the 25th, Colegio Alborán has carried out numerous awareness activities with which we intend to show our absolute rejection of gender violence, the most widespread in the world.
Education in values such as tolerance, respect and non-violence is a primary goal for Colegio Alborán.
Among the events held, after reading the institutional commitment of our center, we observe a minute of silence as a sign of respect for all the victims. Likewise, we have carried out readings, poems, talks, showing videos, and exhibitions of work in the classrooms and other activities with the aim of raising awareness in the entire educational community about the need for equality between men and women. In addition, we have carried out Micro-story and Poetry Contests, whose themes have been gender violence, giving hope in all cases, a way out of this situation.
Parallel to these activities, we have developed an interesting exhibition at the school with posters, drawings and messages against violence against women.
Especially today, it has been a day to reflect, in which our voice joins that of the world, which rejects gender violence and fights for egalitarian and peaceful coexistence.
