Open Day. 2016-17
The Colegio Alborán held its characteristic Open Doors Day last weekend. During this event, the families attending were able to get to know the school and its facilities better and share a day of coexistence with the teachers and non-teaching staff in a privileged environment.
During it, a multitude of cultural and sports activities were carried out in which not only current and former students participated with their teachers, but also friends and family.
The sports activities were very well attended, highlighting the paddle tennis tournament, the volleyball tournament, the disc-golf tournament, the chess tournament and the futsal tournament. On the other hand, the multi-adventure activities such as crossing the Tibetan bridges and archery made young and old enjoy themselves, while in the pool those who had come suitably dressed could start in the sport of paddle surfing.
In this edition of the Open Doors there was also a place to learn to dance sevillanas, with some simple classes that were very fun. In addition, thanks to our friends from Procardio Formación and their interesting workshop, many of those present were able to find out about some basic concepts of first aid and resuscitation.
The Augmented Reality gymkhana caused a sensation among the players, who managed to find the 7 Wonders of the World that were hidden and scattered throughout the center's facilities. To do this, they had to go through the entire school in just 20 minutes, from the organic garden, to the school farm and the Equestrian Club.
A playground, with crafts, make-up and a beautiful bouncy castle delighted the little ones, who enjoyed the children's entertainment workshops.
In addition, all attendees were able to see the work done by our students in the Expo Science exhibitions for Primary and Secondary Education and discover at Expo Robotica the new activities on Programming, Robotics and 3D Design carried out at our Center during this school year.
The exhibition on decorative recycling and the fabulous Expo Art, with works carried out by our own Artistic Baccalaureate students, complemented our wide offer for this day.
In a relaxed atmosphere, the attendees were able to exchange opinions with the center's educators and shared a space that tries to promote closer contact until reaching the peak moment of the day: Dressage carousel.
The day ended with the delivery of the trophies of the various competitions and with a lunch that, prepared by our kitchen team, served as the culmination of this fantastic Day.
