Photographic and cinematographic projects: history and evolution of photography. Transition from silent to sound film. 2025-26

Our 1st and 2nd year Baccalaureate students, both in the subjects of Image and Sound and in Audiovisual Culture (Arts Baccalaureate), have developed very interesting film and photography projects with great interest.
First, they have researched the history and evolution of photography, developing a camera obscura and learning from the great masters, Niepce and Daguerre, from the creators of the Magnum agency, to the most important professionals of today in different fields.
Our students have enthusiastically studied the role of women in photography and film, introducing the pioneers of this art.
They have also studied the transition from silent film to sound film.
In addition, they have recreated the cameras used by some photojournalists, taken us through the most prestigious fashion magazines, and shown us the shocking images of war photojournalists.

What a thrill to start the course with this news! The photo accompanying the article about the transition from silent to sound film is as striking as seeing Vogue covers and war correspondent photos in the same gallery. Yes, I've seen those images in fashion magazines—what an epic contrast! I'm really looking forward to the photography and film projects. But keep an eye on evolution, because anything can happen!
