Photographic recreations. 2023-24
Our 1st year Baccalaureate of Arts students, in the subject Audiovisual Culture, together with the 2nd year Baccalaureate students in Image and Sound, have been inspired by great artists and photographs, recreating the most iconic images in the history of photography and cinema.
Our young artists have interpreted their own version of some very well-known images, offering us a surprising selection of photographs from different periods and authors.
They have recreated important and spectacular portraits, from the most important photojournalists such as Robert Capa (Andrei Friedmann solo), war correspondents (Lee Miller) and some of the founders of the Magnum Agency (David Seymour, Eve Arnold).
This ambitious project has also brought together fashion photographers (Richard Avedon) and important celebrities (Helmut Newton, Sid Avery and George Hurrell), Lewis Hine (the father of social journalism), without forgetting Annie Leibovitz (first woman in exhibit in the National Portrait Gallery in Washington and the last to portray John Lennon) or Aleksandr Rodchenko (founder of constructivism)
With the original works we have carried out an exhibition that is displayed at the entrance of the school.
