2024th Cultural Week. Book Day. 25-XNUMX

The Language and Literature Department at Alborán School carries out activities to encourage and promote reading throughout the year.
On April 23rd, to commemorate World Book Day, we held a variety of activities at our center's XNUMXrd annual event.
Many projects completed by secondary and high school students are displayed in the entrance and hallways.

Literatura en vivo
The most relevant literary characters of Universal Literature transcend this day of the classroom and permeate our live Literature school. The 3rd ESO students, organized by the Department of Letters, fully immerse us in the magic of books.
We have had a very varied and wide gallery of characters and authors Don Quixote, Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf, Willy Wonka, Jasmine, Belle, Alice's rabbit, Carmilla (by Sheridan Le Fanu), Eiichiro Oda (writer of One Piece) Miles Morales, among others, have visited the classes, explaining who the characters or authors they represent are.

Charity book market
Today we also set up a charity book stand with books donated by the school's students and faculty, the proceeds of which will go to the Spanish Cancer Association.
In addition, we've raffled off some original projects created by our colleague Marta for the same charitable purpose.

Carmen Ramos Literary Meeting
There's no better way to celebrate this day than with a literary gathering. We had a visit to our center from Carmen Ramos, a writer, novelist, and poet with extensive experience coordinating creative writing and reading activities that captured the attention of the secondary school students in attendance.
1st Year High School Video Don Quixote of La Mancha

The first-year students have made a video to pay tribute to Cervantes, marking the 1th anniversary of the publication of his masterpiece, Don Quixote de la Mancha.
The students have recorded a selection of iconic scenes with a humorous touch.
