November 25: International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Course 2022-23.

Our center has developed numerous awareness activities on November 25 to commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women in order to show our rejection of violence in general and more specifically the most widespread in the world.
At Colegio Alborán we are aware that an education in values of equality, tolerance, respect and non-violence is essential.
For this reason, we inaugurate the day by reading our institutional commitment and observing a minute of silence as a sign of respect for all the victims.
This was followed by the awards ceremony for the poetry and micro-story contests on this subject, trying to provide a way out of this terrible situation.

The students who have won these awards have been:
1 ESO cycle

First Prize: Gabriela del Valle Vandenberg.
Second Prize: Óscar Argibay Pérez.
2 ESO cycle

Likewise, in the classrooms we have carried out debates, readings, talks and work exhibitions with the aim of raising awareness in the entire educational community about the need for real equality between men and women.
Our students of the Arts and Humanities Baccalaureate have developed a poster against gender violence, as a metaphor, it shows a leafless daisy, with petals that fall due to abuse and another that blooms if the roots are love and respect .
Likewise, in these two modalities of Baccalaureate they have made a video that aims to raise awareness about the need to commemorate the Day against the Elimination of Violence against Women and to make the Mirabal Sisters known.
In Secondary our students have carried out projects to raise awareness about this social problem and make the Mirabal Sisters known.
With all this, it has been a day of reflection to reject violence of any kind and demand a peaceful and egalitarian coexistence.
