Lecture Mr. Miguel Ángel Medina Torres. 2014-15.

Last Friday, March 6, a group made up of students in the 3rd year of ESO and students who are studying Biology in the 4th year of ESO, 1st and 2nd year of Baccalaureate attended the conference
"Biology, a XNUMXst century science", given by Mr. Miguel Ángel Medina Torres, Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Malaga.

In it, the speaker highlighted the importance of Biology as "the science" of the XNUMXst century as well as its relationship with the medical studies in which his Department participates (angiogenesis and cancer).
Likewise, he highlighted the relationship of Biology with other branches of knowledge, while delving into the new areas and degrees within Biology, such as Bioinformatics (currently taught at the UMA).

The activity was very interesting and didactic for the students of the Alborán School.
