Literary meeting with Pablo Álvarez Serrano. 2019-20

On January 21, Pablo Álvarez Serrano visited our school. It has been an honor to receive this former student, who studied Baccalaureate of Arts and who is currently studying at the UMA the 2nd year of Communication Sciences.

In a close literary encounter, Pablo addressed the students who were his classmates just two years ago to present his book Reeh's Tale, his first work, written when he was 17 years old, which captivates the reader from the beginning, combinesI have adventure and love, thus being able to immerse ourselves in a very personal universe.

Pablo is a storyteller, who narrates through drawings, words or audiovisual language. A great reader and with great artistic sensitivity, he revealed his creative side from a young age, showing interest and aptitude for painting and drawing.

Pablo encouraged the young attendees to read and write, providing tricks that work for him, for example managing different literary genres.

At the same time, he highlighted the importance of creating a writing habit from an early age. He also recommended being constant, because although, in his words, writing is quite relaxing in the face of the frenetic pace of today's society, "the creative writing process is something that takes time."

He explained that "when you write, there is always a little bit of you in your work, because the most intimate and dark side comes out."

He also dedicated time to answering each of the numerous questions that the assistants of the last cycle of Primary, of all Secondary and 1 of Baccalaureate asked him.

To conclude the day, our guest also addressed our youngest readers of the first cycle of Primary, dedicating a few words to promote the reading and poetry.

For all this, it was a very gratifying activity, which we all knew how to appreciate and enjoy.
