The great food collection. 2019-20
Once again, our School has participated in the Great Food Collection that takes place every year in November, organized by the Bancosol Alimentos entity.
Said entity is a non-profit organization based on volunteering and that, as a federated Food Bank at the national level in the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL), has the purpose of avoiding waste and taking advantage of food suitable for consumption, allocating it to to continuehelp reverse the situation of people at risk of social exclusion, in this case in Malaga and its province.
The result of the campaign has been very positive, given the inclement weather, having collected more than 144 containers throughout the province. It is still necessary to count the direct donations from the supermarket chains, which this year have risen.
As a novelty this year, in addition to high school students, parents and students of any educational stage have collaborated on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 November at the LIDL supermarket in Las Chapas.
