Markets and solidarity breakfasts. 2023-24

Throughout the year, through the Alborán School Solidarity Project we aim to raise awareness among our students of true Education in values of solidarity.
Close to the Christmas holidays and coinciding with our wonderful living Nativity scene and the Christmas Carol Contest, we have installed, once again, tables with a Solidarity Breakfast based on homemade desserts and chocolate with churros with the aim of collaborating with the Ronda Nursing Home (Little Sisters of the Poor).

Thanks to the altruistic collaboration of all the participants in these two solidarity days, December 22 and 23, we are going to give them the amount of €1080, which is added to the delivery of food and products that have been so generously donated during these days by our students, their families and the staff of our center.
This year we also wanted to support the commendable work carried out by Fundatul, an organization with which we regularly collaborate, which tries to mentor, protect and train people with disabilities. Through the sale of crafts made by the students and teaching team of our center, in addition to charity raffles, we have given them 420 euros.

In addition, we have had the presence of the NGO Manos Unidas and its representative Inma Lorenzo, who has had a charity stand set up with beautiful crafts and typical Christmas crafts that we have helped sell in order to continue with their excellent work towards those most in need.
The 1st year ESO students have also had the initiative to raffle a Christmas basket with benefits for the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Malaga. Thanks to this proposal, we will deliver the amount of €545 raised.

Likewise, on such a day of solidarity, we have collaborated with the Aladina Foundation, which works in hospitals to help minors with cancer, accompanying and supporting them so that they do not lose their hope. In addition to helping with the sale of their products, we have held charity raffles for them so that they can continue giving everything for sick boys and girls.

We want to thank all the families of Alborán for their supportive participation and their involvement in all these altruistic projects.

Thank you all very much and happy Christmas holidays!
