First week of work "on line". 2019-20
Dear families.
From Colegio Alborán we want to convey our most sincere thanks for your collaboration in putting our online distance education format into operation. Although it is true that we had been preparing for this scenario for some time, the start-up always harbors unknowns. Well, they have all been cleared, and this has been thanks to a team made up of fathers, mothers, students, technical staff, secretaries and teachers, all as one, the true essence of education.
The response from your children has been excellent, and for this we want to congratulate you as well. Although the beginnings have been very successful, there is no doubt that together we will improve it and make it more and more operational. Surely at home they also perceive it as a very stimulating challenge.
If it is a fact that education is everyone's business, on such exceptional occasions as this it is even more so. That is why we have a magnificent opportunity to work from home on physical activity, reading, bilingualism, time and the responsible use of devices, values and those disciplinary aspects that teachers can do little from a distance, such as punctuality, perseverance, respect for shifts, etc.
We take this opportunity to inform you that the 2nd evaluation is postponed until the situation allows it, since we consider that there are many aspects to take into consideration, much more than a simple arithmetic average that we can share electronically.
And we say goodbye for the moment, sending you a message of optimism, and inviting you to enjoy the positive side of this situation, especially family time, which we so often miss for day-to-day reasons.

We would like to convey to you our most sincere gratitude for your collaboration in making a success of the online Educational System established for these difficult times. It is a fact that we had been working and preparing for a while for this possible eventuality, but it is always a challenge putting it into practice. We are proud to say that it has been a success due to the combined hard work of the great team formed by parents, students, technical team, secretary, and teachers, which together are the essence of Education.
Your sons and daughter's response have been excellent, and, for that reason, we would like to congratulate you too. Although it has been a successful effort from the beginning, there is always room for improvement, and we keep working on that. We are sure that you, from home, find it challenging and stimulating.
We all know that Education is a joint effort but, at this time, it is even more. We now have the opportunity to work from home physical activity, reading, bilingualism, responsible use and time spent on digital devices, and those aspects (like punctuality, perseverance, and respect for turns) that are difficult to manage for teachers from a distance.
We would like to take this opportunity to inform that the second evaluation has been postponed until further notice, when the situation allows it to happen, as there are too many aspects to take into consideration.
We say goodbye for now with a message of optimism: to enjoy the positive part of this experience and the family time that we have now and that, so many times before, we missed.
