Platform for the Promotion of Volunteering in Marbella. 2022-23

As part of the Colegio Alborán solidarity project, on November 2 an awareness talk was held which was attended by the students of 4th year of ESO and 1st year of Baccalaureate.
María Pérez, on behalf of the Platform for the Promotion of Volunteering in Marbella, began by clarifying what is meant by volunteering, with concrete examples, while she delved into the rights and duties of volunteers, in an entertaining and dynamic way.
In his interesting speech, he encouraged young people to get involved, "to change their environment into a fairer one", highlighting the values ​​of altruism and commitment that volunteering entails.
Likewise, in order to create awareness, he reported on all the entities that the Platform includes, as well as the areas of action, the programs and the wide range of volunteer options, giving way to the invited Association, CADI.
Maite Caño, representative of CADI (Centro de Atención a la Diversidad Infantil), expressed that "it is necessary to contribute to creating a better world", encouraging attendees to test the satisfaction they feel when helping others, because "making happy to these children and young people that we help and seeing their smiles is priceless”.
Maite stressed the importance of this disinterested collaboration, because without it they would not be able to carry out camps, nor support in sports or leisure activities, orchards, workshops... in short, offer resources and opportunities to people with disabilities so that they have the full right to life. .
"The challenge is for society to see the capabilities of these people," said the CADI representative.
It turned out to be a necessary activity of education in values, enriching for all, which served to raise awareness of values ​​of solidarity.
