Theater. Bernarda Alba's house. 2022-23

Through the Department of Language and Literature of the Alborán School, the students of the two Baccalaureate courses attended the theatrical performance of the play "La casa de Bernarda Alba", the last dramatic work by Federico García Lorca, on March 7, in the Peace Palace in Fuengirola, with which we have begun to commemorate International Women's Day, which will be tomorrow.

This activity brings students closer to one of the great authors of Spanish letters, novelist, poet and playwright, while encouraging the development of their imagination and curiosity.

By attending this play, the culmination of Lorca's theater, we intend to promote the critical spirit of our students and use strategies that promote reading comprehension.

Likewise, it is an essential complement to work on linguistic competence and delve into Lorca's literary style and his legacy in our literature.
Our students have enjoyed many concepts that are worked on in the classroom, while they have reflected on the role of women, (it was not in vain that it was subtitled Drama of women in the towns of Spain) in this work with universal value, represented all over the world. that combines realism with poetic rigor.

It has resulted in a fantastic adaptation of this tragic drama and a wonderful staging of this brilliant and symbolic rural drama that presents such important themes as the opposition between authority and freedom or the conflict between desire and reality.

In the end, the attending students have participated in the colloquium after the performance, asking the actresses questions.
