Visit to the Museums and Art Exhibitions of Malaga. 2018-2019.

As every year, the students of 1st and 2nd of Bachelor of Art with the 2nd grade students Baccalaureate what are they Sound and Vision, have had an essential appointment with the museums y exhibitions from Malaga. A very interesting activity organized by the Department of Art that has been an essential complement to the subjects of Artistic Drawing and Graphic-Plastic Expression Techniques, Fundamentals of Art, Design, and Audiovisual Culture.

An artistic activitycultural event that we enjoyed on December 7th and that began in the Carmen Thyssen Museum Malaga with a visit to the temporary exhibitions “La furia del color. Francisco iturrino (1864-1924)” and “Henri Matisse. Jazz". Two exhibitions that bring together the work of two of the greatest representatives of Spanish and French Fauvism.

We then move to La Térmica Contemporary Culture Center to see the photographic sample Repeat: beauty and revolution that brings together 193 masterful works by photographer Alberto Korda, the most renowned photographer in Havana, and the historical context that permeated his work.

In all the exhibitions, the visits were exceptionally presented by our 2nd year Art Baccalaureate students: Sofía Marín, Irina López and Micael Kirakosyan, who took on the role of museum guide. As enriching as it is pedagogical, it has been a complementary activity to the Design and Fundamentals of Art subjects through which our students designed the Information Brochure for each of the exhibitions and explained to their classmates what they were going to see and find. in each sample.

An extraordinary approach to   that teaches our Art and Image and Sound Baccalaureate students to see the world that surrounds us from another perspective, from another vision; in order to discover a new way of looking at the closest art.
