November 25: International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. 2016-17

To commemorate this very symbolic date, our center has carried out numerous awareness activities, which we will continue next week. Between the acts, after reading our institutional commitment, we observe a minute of silence in respect to the victims.

At Colegio Alborán we work so that violence has no place in the present or future life of our students. For this reason, we carry out readings, poems, talks and exhibitions of work in the classrooms, in order to sensitize the educational community that a change towards equality is necessary.

With the firm purpose of ending violence against women, we unite to paint the world orange, as a symbol of a brighter future without violence. In this way, we joined hands, from the Infant to the Baccalaureate students, and created a poster with a large bow of this color.

Likewise, the Alborán School joins the challenge of the Mannequin Challenge, with which we intend to show our rejection of gender violence, the most widespread in the world.

In short, we dedicate this day to reflect, because we are aware that it is necessary to become aware of the situation of this problem that persists globally.
