Happy Book Day. With Shía Arbulú. 2023-24

In order to commemorate Book Day, the Language Department has organized an interesting writing workshop in April with Shía Arbulú, famous writer, teacher and award-winning playwright, who is also a theater director and Finalist for the 2018 Nadal Prize.
This activity provides high school students with tools to encourage reading and develop creative writing.
The writer, with a great literary vocation and with nine novels published, has addressed recommendations for writing in her talk, stating that “literature is close to music, since it has sound, attitudes, time, rhythm and transmits emotions, like other artistic manifestations. ”.
Likewise, he advised the audience to play with words, let them flow, highlighting the importance of learning techniques and mastering tools, clarifying that “writing is not the same as writing literature.”
To do this, the current director of Momo (School of the Arts) has reviewed all the elements of narration and types of description, clarifying concepts such as argument, plot and theme, illustrating with practical examples.
The result has been a space in which we have shared reflections and literary experiences and where we have learned a lot in a very close environment. A very enriching experience.
It has been an honor for our center to have had the presence of Shía Arbulú.
