Gamification in 2nd year of Primary Education. 2016-17

On other occasions we have seen how board games can become an interesting educational tool and even more so when they are conveniently adapted to the content being worked on in class.

These types of activities provide a large number of advantages:

  • They encourage students to make their learning their own.
  • They give participants a degree of freedom to fail and try again without negative repercussions.
  • They allow learning by playing, as well as offering very good opportunities to increase fun and entertainment in the classroom.
  • They help achieve differentiated instruction opportunities.
  • They make learning visible.
  • They encourage teamwork and with it, increase interaction among equals.
  • They can be used to review and apply what has been learned.

The game promotes the development of our students, it is a source of joy and well-being. That is why their presence at school is important and highly recommended. Our 2nd year Primary School students can attest to this.
