“Speaking Rhymed Course». Poetry recital dedicated to Alfonso Canales. 2018-19

All the Secondary students of the Alborán School, through the Department of Language and Literature, attended the Marbella Fair and Conference Center on October 25, which hosted a very interesting session of the Rhymed Talking Course Cycle, dedicated on this occasion to Alfonso Canales , great poet from Malaga and Doctor Honoris Causa from the University of Malaga.

This stimulating activity, which tries to promote a taste for poetic texts, was coordinated by the UMA Professor of Language and Literature, novelist and poet, Mr. Antonio Gómez Yebra and launched by the Municipal Delegation of Culture and Education of the City Council from Marbella.
To inaugurate the act, an exhibition and presentation of the honored author by Don Antonio Gómez Yebra took place, in which the students present learned a lot.

Don Antonio, a prolific writer of children's and youth literature, offered us the most relevant information on Alfonso Canales, who was a member of the Royal Spanish Academy of Language and the Royal Academy of History for Andalusia.

Likewise, he made all those attending ESO evoke the dazzling verses of this great Spanish poet, translator and literary critic, whom he defined as "a poet with a superior spirit, a man in favor of art and culture", who was part of the writing team of the magazine "Caracola" and whose work has been recognized with the main awards.

Then, in order to bring #poetry and poets closer to the youngest students, some students from our school actively participated, reciting in public fragments of the most representative works of this great bibliophile.
