PBL A sustainable house! 6th of Primary Education. 2016-17

After becoming aware of the serious environmental deterioration that has occurred in recent decades, the students of 6th grade of Primary Education have carried out this project on sustainable housing. For this, the students have investigated possible methods that promote sustainable development and later, they have tried to apply them in the domestic environment, devising original solutions.

project-based learning is a methodology which allows participants to acquire key knowledge and skills in the XNUMXst century through the development of projects that respond to real-life problems. The student body becomes the protagonist of their own learning and develops their autonomy and responsibility, since they are in charge of planning the work, structuring it and preparing the product to solve the question raised. The teacher's job is to guide and support you throughout the process.

Among the solutions that the students of 6th of Primary Education have proposed, we can highlight:

  •      Grass roofs to regulate the temperature of the house.
  •      Gutters for collecting rainwater to take advantage of it.
  •      Water filtration system used in the house, bathroom l for the toilet, etc.
  •      Solar panels to heat the water.
  •      Windmills to collect energy.
  •      Organic gardens in the houses.
  •      Use of bicycles to avoid pollution.
  •      Garbage bins to separate the different containers.

A great job!
