Project "El Olivo". 6th of Early Childhood Education. varando. 2018-19

The "vareo" is the traditional way of harvesting the olive. It consists of hitting and shaking the branches of the olive tree with long rods that make the olive fall on some cloaks placed on the ground surrounding the olive tree. You have to do it carefully, almost "combing" the leaves so as not to damage the tree. Last Monday, our 6th grade Early Childhood students were able to learn about this technique firsthand, thanks to the collaboration of our friend Daniel, who is responsible for the garden. This activity is part of the "El Olivo" project, which our 6th grade students are developing this term.

Good work!
