Sierra Nevada. 2017-18

The Physical Education Department has organized a sensational two-day excursion to the Sierra Nevada. In it, a total of 33 boys and girls have participated, from 5th year of Primary Education to 1st year of Baccalaureate and during it they have been able to improve their ski or snowboard technique, through a 10-hour course, adapted to the level of each participant. .

The weather forecast was promising and did not disappoint. The wave of polar cold that had been present in the previous days had left the state of the slopes in excellent condition. Thanks to this, our students were able to enjoy two absolutely sunny days with 113 slopes available, 21 lifts, 101 skiable kilometers and quality powder snow up to 2 meters thick. Almost the entire season open with a total absence of crowds: pure pleasure.

A large part of our expedition was of medium and high level, so they were able to enjoy an authentic spectacle from the area of La Laguna de las Yeguas, next to the Veleta. From that point, they saw an imposing and beautiful image of the Rif mountains in Africa, the distant horizons of half of Andalusia (Granada, Almería, Málaga and Jaén) and the Mediterranean Sea.

In summary, a few days of sport and coexistence in idyllic conditions.
