Workshop enjoy your presentations. 2023-24

For the second consecutive year, on March 5 and 6, our center hosted the “Enjoy your presentations” workshop. This valuable initiative, focused on enhancing public speaking skills, was aimed at 2nd year #Baccalaureate and 4th year #ESO students, and was organized by the Department of Economics.
The event once again featured the distinguished presence of Mr. Alejandro Sandino, communication consultant and coach, as well as an ESIC professor. In an environment conducive to learning, Alejandro emphasized the importance of effective communication so that our ideas and opinions are properly valued. His message inspired us to fall in love with the topics we present and use narrative as a tool to create mental images that generate emotions, since these are what drive action.
In addition, the importance of addressing any topic without prejudice was highlighted, thus promoting an open and receptive mentality. Alejandro identified and addressed the 7 most common presentation mistakes, providing students with practical guidelines to avoid them. Through concrete examples and the active participation of the students, it was possible to correct these typical errors that usually affect the effectiveness of our presentations, such as stage fright, mental blockage, mechanical memorization of content, tedious monologues and lack of structure in presentations, among other relevant aspects.
We sincerely appreciate all the advice provided by Mr. Alejandro Sandino, which we are committed to putting into practice to continue improving our communication skills.
