Visit museums and art exhibitions in Malaga. 2021-22.

On March 11, the students of the Baccalaureate of Arts and Image and Sound of the Colegio Alborán made an enriching visit organized by the Department of Arts to museums in Malaga with the main purpose of educating the gaze of our students to discover a new way of perceiving and feel the artistic manifestations.

Likewise, this artistic-cultural visit allows our students to broaden their knowledge in the fields in which we work from different subjects and departments while promoting artistic sensitivity.
We start the day by going to the Picasso Museum, to enjoy the temporary exhibition “The Paris of Brassaï; Photos of the city that Picasso loved”, which shows the work of one of the most renowned photographers of the 30th century, who with his work contributed to the elaboration of the universal image of eternal Paris, the city of light and shadows of the years. 40 and XNUMX.

The work of this artist from Hungary (photography, drawings, sculptures and books) is exhibited together with works by other artists such as Picasso, Bonnard, Braque, Clergue, Léger, Dora Maar and Michaux. In addition, we were able to contemplate with interest period films, posters, scores and abundant documentation.

Our students admired the more than 200 iconic images of the legendary photographer and prolific creator and learned a lot from this exhibition, which also reveals Brassaï's professional relationship and friendship with Picasso, who considered him the best photographer of his work.

We complete our itinerary with a visit to the exhibition “Solana and Romero de Torres. A history of Spanish art in black”, located in the Unicaja Foundation Cultural Center of Malaga in the Episcopal Palace of Malaga.
Said exhibition, which brings together more than one hundred pieces, travels through the pictorial universe of both artists, a true creative dialogue between the two, with the use of black in painting as the common thread and complemented with works by other artists such as José de Ribera, Murillo, Goya, Darío de Regoyos and Sorolla.

The exhibition, structured in eight sections, is made up of oil paintings, drawings, engravings, documentation, photographs and publications that delighted all the visitors.

In all the exhibitions, the visits were exceptionally presented by some very special guides: our Art Baccalaureate students.
An extraordinary and necessary day to bring art closer to young people.
