XXXI Cultural Week. Day of Solidarity. 2021-22

We reached the halfway point of our XXXI Cultural Week with the celebration of Solidarity Day. During this day the students have been able to attend the center without their uniform in exchange for a donation for a good cause. In this case, 696 euros have been collected and delivered to Ms. Inma Lorenzo on behalf of Manos Unidas.

This organization has spent more than 63 years fighting against hunger and misery in the world through its cooperation projects. It also aims to raise awareness in Spanish society so that together we can transform a painful and unfair reality for many.

The funds raised today will go, as part of the "Our indifference condemns them to oblivion" campaign, to improving the water, sanitation and hygiene infrastructure in the schools of Makeni, in Sierra Leone.

We want to thank Manos Unidas for the visit, as well as the enriching awareness talks offered today to our students who have also actively participated in a solidarity march around our center. This activity was organized by the Department of Physical Education and all the students from Kindergarten to Secondary have participated in it.
Thanks to our students, their families and the center staff for doing their bit in this much-needed solidarity initiative for the boys and girls who live in this African region.
