School day of non-violence and peace. 2021-22

Coinciding with the anniversary of the death of Mahatma Gandhi, at Colegio Alborán we have commemorated today the School Day of Non-Violence and Peace, which is January 30.
The day began with an explanation about the celebration of this day by our 6th grade Primary Education students. Next, our secondary school students recited some poems of their own creation about peace and, characterized as people who dedicated their lives to achieving peace, they explained to all their classmates the reasons for the awarding of the Nobel Prize and part of their biography.
Prior to this day, throughout the week, our students have carried out various activities in class. Some of them are the creation of an original mural of feathers, as well as the preparation and rehearsal of songs and dances on this theme. In this way, today they have been able to interpret them in the patio, during the celebration, which also featured a release of pigeons.
It has been a day to reflect and become aware of the need for peace in the world. As Malala says, education is the only solution. "A child, a teacher, a book and a pencil can change the world."
