Literary Meeting with Miguel Ángel Oeste. 2024-25
“Reading is seeing and discovering the world in a different way.”
On March 7th, an interesting reading promotion activity took place at our school with the writer Miguel Ángel Oeste.
This literary meeting has been organized by the Department of Language and Literature of the Alborán School in collaboration with the Anaya publishing house, in order to promote a love of reading from an early age.
Oeste, who has received many awards and prizes, shared with the 3rd and 4th grade students literary experiences from her books “Carlota Wants to Read” and “Carlota and the Tower of Books”, works read and worked on in class by our students.
The writer, who is also a documentary director and scriptwriter, a film producer and contributor to culture, film and music magazines, insisted on the importance of reading, extrapolating the benefits of books to the world of sport and other areas of life, stating that “reading helps us succeed and become better people in life.”
Our attending students have participated actively, being able to convey to the author, with more than fifteen books published, their doubts and concerns about these two works and reading in general.
In a very close and stimulating encounter, between games and laughter, he was able to transmit the fun and knowledge that reading brings.
