Visit to the Museums and Art Exhibitions of Malaga. 2017-2018.

On May 11, our Art and Humanities Baccalaureate students made the visit that the Art Department organizes every year to different art museums in Malaga. A complementary activity to the subjects of Artistic drawing and graphic-plastic expression techniques, History and Fundamentals of art, Design and Audiovisual Culture.

The artistic-cultural visit to the Malaga capital began at the Center Pompidou Málaga. More specifically in the temporary exhibition "Brancusi". An exhibition that compiles hundreds of photographs, negatives, film recordings, drawings and sculptures by the famous avant-garde sculptor of Romanian origin.

Next, our students took a guided tour of the designer Manuel Estrada's exhibition “The designer's notebooks. Think, draw, design.” by the mediation team of the Malaga Heritage Museum in the Sala de la Coracha. An impressive exhibition that compiles the work of one of the most recognized Spanish graphic designers of the last three decades, awarded the 2017 National Design Award. An exhibition where our Design students were able to appreciate first-hand the entire creative process of the author, some of the many book covers designed by Manuel Estrada and around 300 facsimiles of his workbooks that they were able to leaf through and leaf through.

To end the enriching day, we went to the CAC, Museum and Center for Contemporary Art in Malaga, to see the exhibitions by painters Rose Wylie and Secundino Hernández. Works of great format and plastic richness, where both authors through color, matter and expression reflect an inner world of great particularity.

An activity whose objective each year is to educate the look of our students to learn to observe and feel the closest art.
