International poetry day. 2022-23

March 21, World Poetry Day proclaimed by UNESCO in 1999, is celebrated on the spring equinox in order to consecrate the essential word and reflection on our time.
Although it is a minority genre, it is, in the words of Gabriel Celaya, "(...) necessary poetry like daily bread, like the air that we demand thirteen times a minute."
From the Department of Language and Literature we celebrate this important Day, also called Spring of the Poets, carrying out poetic activities, while we develop projects that consist of posters, drawings and texts that are exposed in class.
In addition, at the entrance to the center, the projects developed to awaken poetic sensitivity and educate literary creativity are exhibited.
We have developed poetic recitals and multiple readings, in which a group of students from different Secondary courses have visited the classrooms of the last cycle of Primary and Secondary Education to declaim beautiful and varied poems of their own creation. In addition, our 2nd year Baccalaureate Arts students Sara, Isabella and Leo have made a video that gives voice to one of Alberti's best-known poems, "El mar, la mar", where the lyrical self expresses nostalgia for the sea when he is far away
The Alborán School thus encourages reflection on the capacity and power of poetic language to convey emotions and suggest feelings, as Carmen Conde affirms “Poetry is the feeling that the heart has plenty of and it comes out of your hand”.
