Burlington online seminar. 2020-21.

Colegio Alborán’s Secondary English Department arranged three on-line seminars, hosted by Mr. Jon Ostler, from Burlington Books, to our 1st, 2nd and 3rd of ESO classes today. The seminars explored the topics of ‘English Around the World’ and ‘United Kingdom Culture’ comparing the different flags, vocabulary, food & drink, sports, music and famous people etc. Finally, some of our lucky students got a chance to participate in a quiz to test their knowlwdge, in the style of the TV game show ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire?’ Everyone enjoyed this very unique and enjoyable way of learning about the differences between English cultures.
