Nottingham University. 2015-16

The school enjoyed a visit today from Mrs. Rachel Buckley the International Officer for Europe within Nottingham University, who gave a presentation to our secondary students about studying in the U.K.

Our students have a lot of future academic decisions to make, it can be confusing and overwhelming at times. We want to assist and support them within their decision process by ensuring that our students are well informed and aware of all third level options available to them.

During the course of the presentation, they were shown a little of what life would be like on campus, courses available and support which the university offers to its students studying from abroad. The presentation was followed up by a sequence of questions and answers with solutions sought for those students who had queries about procedures for applications, calculations of course points and fees etc.

All in all, it was a very successful morning and we would like to extend a huge thank you to Rachel for her very informative presentation and to our secondary English department for their ongoing activities within the school, supporting the students towards being comfortable in all areas of their English language development.
